CHECK
IN WITH YOUR CHILD'S EMOTIONAL HEALTH
|
Through
a partnership with Family Services of Chemung County,
the Chemung County School Districts and Community
Agencies, Free, Confidential and Voluntary Emotional
Health Screenings will be offered to all students
in the County during the coming school year.
How
a child feels influences the success of their
relationships at home, in school and in the community.
Checking on their emotional health on an annual
basis is important, just as important as having
their vision and hearing screened.
Consider
allowing your child the opportunity to participate
in the program. For additional information, you
may contact Maryann Bullett or Marilyn Christofaro,
Community Mental Health Program Coordinators,
at Family Services of Chemung County (607-733-5696)

About CVHN
The Chemung Valley Health
Network-comprised of 30 community-based health-related organizations
complemented by two community representatives -- seeks to enhance
the continuity of health and wellness services by developing shared
services and information systems that improve access to healthcare-related
resources among people and organizations within our communities.
With accessible centralized information resources made available
to residents, employers and providers alike, it is the plan of
the CVHN to improve the continuity and quality of preventive and
healthcare services while decreasing associated costs.
The CVHN is developing a community health information resource
service (CHRIS) for residents and businesses interested in self-help
and health-resource information as well as a Community Health
Information Network (CHIN) which, it is hoped, will develop
from
an informal digital communications network into a full-fledged
longitudinal health-related data repository over time.
