Chemung ARC
Community based, Chemung ARC is a
not for profit agency serving more than 700 individuals with developmental
disabilities/mental retardation and their families. Chemung ARC strives
to be consumer focused agency, emphasizing the integration of individuals
into our Chemung County community.
Founded in 1953 by parents of children who were developmentally disabled, Chemung ARC is governed by a Board of Directors whose members represent a cross section of individuals within the community. At least one third of our directors are parents or relatives of individuals who are developmentally disabled. Services are provided by staff of more than 250 professionals.
