Chemung County Health Department is currently seeking enthusiastic professional nurses to provide Home Care to Chemung County Residents. We are committed to meeting the home health care needs of our community by providing the best patient care and making it possible for patients to remain where they prefer to be - in their homes.

The Chemung County Certified Home Health Agency offers an autonomous work environment and is ideal for those who like to work independently. Home Health work provides nurses with the opportunity to build relationships, and make a difference, one patient at a time.

Schedules are family flexible and typically are set for 8 hours per day, five days per week with weekend requirements once every three weeks. No more 12 hour shifts!

We offer one of the best benefit plans in the region: New York State Retirement System, comprehensive medical/dental/vision and drug plan, generous benefit time package, mileage, uniform and cell phone reimbursement and tuition assistance. Starting hourly rate is $23.02-$25.39 depending upon experience.
Qualified candidates will have registered nurse licensure and a minimum of two years full time, direct, patient care experience. Acute care nursing experience and the ability to pass a computer competency assessment are also required.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with limited direct supervision and possess strong clinical assessment, organizational and communication skills.
